Microscope slides are the carrier for tissue sections and cell preparations in histology, cytology and IHC. We offer 76×26 mm plain slides with ground edges, frosted ends and charged surfaces, plus cover slips of various thickness per ISO 8037-1 – suitable for manual and automated staining protocols.

Slide choice affects section adhesion, staining quality and IHC outcomes. For demanding protocols, choose charged or silanised surfaces.
Slide Types
- Plain (ground edge): Standard 76×26 mm for routine H&E after histology sectioning.
- Frosted end: Writing area for pencil or printer – essential for sample identification.
- Charged / SuperFrost Plus: Positively charged surface for IHC, ISH and cytology with improved adhesion of thin sections.
Cover slips: No. 1 thickness (0.13–0.16 mm) is standard for light microscopy; No. 1.5 for confocal and fluorescence.
