Vacuum Aspiration System
Vacuum Aspiration System is used in laboratories for safe and efficient aspiration of liquids – most often biological or chemical solutions. It is a device that uses negative pressure (vacuum) to suck the liquid into a collection container. The systems are suitable for:
Removal of culture media – when working with cell cultures, an aspirator is used to aspirate the old medium before adding fresh.
Aspiration of supernatants after centrifugation – for example, after separating cells, precipitates or pellets from the solution.
Safe removal of waste biological fluids – when working with infectious materials or cell lines, it allows for hygienic and contact-free aspiration.
Sample preparation in molecular biology and biochemistry – e.g. during rinsing, filtration or extraction, where it is necessary to aspirate the solution without contaminating the sample.
