ELISPOT Kits
The ELISPOT kit from Elabscience is based on the sandwich ELISA principle combined with cell culture technology. Pre-coated capture antibodies are used to capture cytokines secreted by cells, and an enzyme-labeled secondary antibody generates colored spots, enabling functional detection at a single-cell level. ELISPOT offers ultra-high sensitivity (capable of detecting active cells as rare as one in a million), single-cell resolution, and clear visualization while being simple and efficient to operate.
The ELISPOT kit is an ideal tool for studying cellular immune function and for the precise evaluation of T/B cell activity. It is widely used in vaccine development, tumor immunotherapy, research into autoimmune disease mechanisms, and in the diagnosis and monitoring of treatment efficacy for infectious diseases.

ELISPOT (Enzyme-Linked ImmunoSpot) kits enable the detection of cytokine secretion at the single-cell level. They quantify the exact number of cells within a population that actively secrete a target protein.
Principle and Applications
- Sensitivity: Detection of extremely rare cell populations (up to 1 in 1,000,000 cells).
- Output: Results are reported as SFU (Spot-Forming Units) per million cells.
- Usage: Vaccine development, oncology, and immunology (e.g., IFN-gamma monitoring).
Elabscience® kits include pre-coated PVDF plates, detection antibodies, and precipitating substrates. Explore more under immunoassays.
